Successful case of repairing the broken foot of the sealing ring on the lid of an ASD soy milk machine

In May 2014, Zhejiang Aishida Household Appliances Co., Ltd. developed a new type of soy milk machine. During trial production, it was found that the machine head cover seal ring was prone to breaking at the foot during installation, with a defect rate of 80%. The previous supplier had repeatedly modified the mould but never provided Aishida with a qualified sample. For this reason, the project was shelved and subsequent production could not proceed smoothly. In June 2015, the company's technicians brought the defective seal rings to our company. After research by our technical team, it was discovered that the cause of the seal ring defects was due to unreasonable mould and production process design, which led to breakage at the foot of the seal ring. Through joint efforts in mould and production at our company, we eventually produced qualified samples using the liquid injection moulding process, resolving the issue of easy breakage of Aishida seal rings. While solving the customer's problem, this also tested our company's efforts and capabilities in mould technology.

Pinghu Meijia Insulated Container Industrial Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise that integrates independent research and development, manufacturing, and sales, specialising in the production of daily-use insulated containers and small household appliances. It is the supplier of insulated containers for the global sports brand "Decathlon". In 2013, the silicone seals of the company's "Decathlon" lunch boxes failed FDA testing conducted by Germany's TUV, which led to the complete halt of production for these lunch boxes, resulting not only in significant economic losses but also in negative impacts on the Decathlon brand. Faced with this challenge, the company's technical team immediately approached our company to discuss a solution. Our General Manager Wang promptly convened a meeting with the core team members from the business, technical, quality, and production departments to study and analyse the situation, examining aspects such as raw materials, production processes, quality techniques, and mould design. Ultimately, by employing advanced manufacturing processes and strict process and quality controls, we were able to provide a sample to the client within seven working days, which passed the FDA testing by Germany's TUV. This successfully helped our client recover economic losses and protect the brand image. At the same time, it also created an opportunity for cooperation between Zhongshan Yufeng and Pinghu Meijia, achieving the company's "win-win" philosophy.
